Join SkeenaWild Conservation Trust and the City of Terrace to swim the equivalent distance of the Skeena River at the Terrace & District Aquatic Centre! We'll take you on a journey to learn about the stunning and essential sights along the way. The mighty Skeena River runs 570 km from headwaters to the Pacific Ocean.

How it works:

  • Sign up for the challenge at the pool (either as an individual or as part of a team) or using the Challenge Hound app
  • A one-time donation (minimum $5) to SkeenaWild Conservation Trust is required, plus a drop-in pool entry fee or pass (see fees here)
  • Swim on your own time and record your distances using the materials provided (download the worksheet here)
  • As you hit milestones, you will learn about the importance of the areas and will be entered into a draw
  • At the end of 2024, see how far you swam!

Milestones - Every 100 km

Make sure to let the pool staff know once you’ve hit a milestone so you can be entered into a prize draw.
